Ginger Crinkles
Ingredients:
· ¾ c vegetable
shortening
· 1 c sugar
· 1 egg
· ¼ c molasses
· 2 c all-purpose flour
· 1 t cinnamon
· 2 t baking soda
· ¼ t salt
· 2 t ground ginger
· 1 t ground cloves
· 2-4 T sugar for rolling
Steps:
· Preheat oven to 350º.
· Cream together shortening and
sugar. Beat in egg and
molasses.
· In a separate bowl, combine
all dry ingredients and then add
to wet mixture.
· Shape into 1” balls and roll
in sugar.
· Place 2” apart on greased
cookie sheets.
· Bake for 8-10 minutes. Do not
overbake!
